Martin Green is one of world’s leading solar energy researchers and his research group has held the record for silicon solar cell efficiency for 30 of the last 34 years. His work has been recognised with many international awards including the 2002 Right Livelihood Award, the 2007 SolarWorld Einstein Award and, most recently, the 2016 Ian Wark Medal from the Australian Academy of Science.
